Remind me of how y'all got elected in the first place? Oh yeah, now I remember! Off the backs of some and the pockets of many. Y'all should feel great shame and humility, sadly such is not the case.
You CANNOT change the laws to suit your mood!
In 1971, President Nixon (I know, a scoundrel, too - where do we find these folks again?) signed into law the 'Wild and Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act'. You can find out more about this Act here:
Guess who wrote it up for him to sign? Congress, the very folks who since then have been doing their best to find loopholes. When they've been unable to, they've allowed the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Fish & Wildlife Department along with the U.S. Forestry service to fudge numbers and even add amendments to the Act. Despicable...
I've been fighting alongside many advocacy groups all year as we fight for the animals rights. Mostly for humane (a funny word when one thinks of such, humans are the worst blight upon the planet) treatment of these horses and burros. Some battles in court have been won, others we've not been so lucky and the horses are the ones who have suffered horribly.
It's not truly been any wins when you look into the Bureau of Land Management (that's a farce, should be Mis-Management) and their propositions they are looking to implement into law. Yes, they had 'help' from above, but not from God nor Mother Earth. No, budget cuts (what?? do you expect politicians to live within their means like normal folk?) and the skewed insistence that we destroy the lands, pollute our waters (mining, digging for oil, etc.) and kill off the plants and animals that inhabited this country long before us. Congress, our President, the Senate and a whole lot of other government agencies that 'normal folk' don't even have a clue exist. You can find out more about this devious plot here. https://americanwildhorsecampaign.org/media/all
Pick an article from there, any article. Any should sicken your stomach. Or, go here: https://americanwildhorsecampaign.org/media/meeting-navajo-nation-wild-horse-management .
Learn how our very own Native Americans plan to 'control the horse population' on their lands. They are considering wild horse hunts!
One round-up after another!

Let's talk about the aftermath...
For what? Oil? Natural gas? Gold? Does it really matter how much of these things are produced, how many jobs they create when you look at the bottom line? Is this what you want for future generations to endure? The wrath of greed?
Sure, we can sue the federal government for their neglect and incompetence in not keeping our waterways and lands safe. You can read about the Navajo Nation's lawsuit in regards to the Colorado Gold mine 'oops' here: http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/16/politics/navajo-lawsuit-epa-animas-river/
But then, I want you to ask yourself a question and think long and hard about you answer. If there's no clean water, what good does money do?
Partin' thoughts...
Please don't sit idle'n allow the government 'n their vast agencies to continue to dupe folks. Take the time to learn what these folks're plannin'. If'n ya don't agree with 'em let 'em know! Loudly, via phone calls, emails 'n social media. We're headed fer the point 'f no return 'n I dunno whether to continue to be spittin' mad 't these folks who've plum lost their minds 'r so completely saddened 'n crushed to jest sit 'pon my laurels.
