The need fer bail money seems to be approachin' quickly'n despite my best efforts, I aint sure I can calm this beast within. Perhaps most honestly, I lack the desire to do such. One can only turn a blind eye so oft 'fore their heart goes cold, right?
The Wolf You Feed
An elder Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me.. it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."
"This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person, too", he added.
The Grandchildren thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied... "The one you feed."
All the ugliness that comes 'long with sharin' yer life with an addict. Be't alcohol, drugs, both 'r some other device they use to make't through their days. So's they can lash out't what they consider to be the weakest link'n their food chain. Sometimes'n their attempts to be dominant 'n oh so smart, they don't seem to think twice 'bout the path'f destruction they've created. The lives they've scarred fer'n eternity. Wounds that ne'er heal. Their inability to cope with the demons within 'emselves tends to be quite maddenin', tryin' e'en the most patient 'f souls.
This's no way to live. E'ery livin' bein''n this planet deserves to be treated with dignity 'n respect. Not bein''n fear'f repercussions from speakin' their mind 'n callin' those kinda folks out. This ol' gals's so close to bein' there...'n he knows't.
