Why do we put'p with such? Can we start a movement where'n these venues 'f great opportunity we jest share the good? The purty, the whimsical? That's my goal this month. To plant the seeds 'f goodness, fun, possibly e'en some insight 'n the hopes that such'll grow'n spread 'cross the lands.
I've been busy hittin' the sewin' machine 'gain!
I've been wantin' to stitch together some lap quilts that're lightweight 'n 'd work fer folks who're confined to wheelchairs. Ya know, to help keep the chill off? I actually bought a pattern from a gal online www.homesewnbycarolyn.com/, her creations most intriguin', she'd a lil kangaroo pouch so's folks could warm their hands 'n a handy lil pocket'n top'f that where's one could keep some tissues, chapstick 'n a few other lil items handy. Brilliant, I thought. Sadly I've nary a clue 's to how to whip 'p her actual pattern. I'm pattern illiterate! Did gimme some ideas'f my own though.
Gotta love that free- motion quiltin' 'n the sewin' machine!
'course, those gals say "practice, practice, practice". They all advise to make lil mini quilts (aka: placemat size) 'til ya get the hang'f such. Well, I don't listen too careful 'n wondered why I'd wanna make all those to master such a skill. Jumped right'n with both hands 'n got busy! I'm tickled with the results, they've a great 'feel' 'n texture to 'em. I'll get 'round to that practicin' bit if'n I decide to get fancy with that stitchin'. 'Til then, I'm jest gonna ride the ride.
'n to the 'good schtuff'
The Round'p!
I've yet to master linkin' other folks writin', fer some reason I'm link illiterate, despite their best efforts to teach me such. But, here't goes!
